“Running Camp” in Orkney

Improve Your Running with a World Record Holder!

William’s 3 Day Running Camp 2009

Isle of Sanday, Orkney

LATE APPLICATIONS WELCOME

What is it?

William’s 3 Day Running Camp will run from Tuesday August 18th to Thursday August 20th inclusive. If you are interested but can’t make these dates then please let us know. The course is designed to be an intensive, personalized training course designed specifically to help you improve your running.

All sessions will be personally supervised by World Record holding ultra distance runner William Sichel and his training advisor Shaun Brassfield-Thorpe. This is an exclusive course and places will be strictly limited to a very small number of clients so book early to be sure of your place.

We don’t feel that we can give the attention clients deserve if more are accepted. Much of the course will focus on analysis of each client across a range of areas we consider significant to making meaningful improvements. There won’t be a lot of group running sessions. You will have time to run yourself and we would suggest you stay on Sanday for a few days either side of the course to enjoy this beautiful and tranquil part of the world.

Who is the course aimed at?

Anyone, over the age of 18, who is interested in improving their running at any chosen distance from 5km upwards!

Where?  (Photos of the Isle of Sanday click here)

The course will be based on the Isle of Sanday, one of Orkney’s northern islands. Located approx 90 minutes from the main town of Kirkwall by boat or 10 minutes by air. Good air links exist via Flybe from many parts of Britain to Kirkwall, the Orkney capital. Travelling by car, train or coach: there are 3 crossing points over the Pentland Firth (two car and one passenger only) to the Orkney Mainland (the main island of Orkney). The final leg of the journey can be by ferry or by the small, 10 seater Islander aircraft.

Full details on the Sanday Tourism Association web site. The Ladybank B&B will be the HQ for the course – email: ladybank@btinternet.com
